I brought a mini cake with me, and it actually helped to identify who I was.

best excuse to bring a cake and eat it at a con too! I've also never seen someone look so happy to eat cake, the lady behind you seems a bit bummed though. My friend is cosplaying Alice in Wonderland for Otakon so she's bringing little tea cokies with her.

My husband made the gun for me - PVC pipe, plus 2 watering cans cut into the shapes. The "fingers" were made from a novelty pointing-finger (sporting thing) made from foam. It almost didn't come together in time, which is why we got the cake as a "Plan C" (the original plan was to have a Companion Cube - it's barely started)

Definitely! Most comfy costume I own (and the only one with pants). A-Kon and A-Fest for sure, probably also for some local meetups and parties. :)

Sweet! Then I'd better make it for A-Kon, dangit! XD It'd be really cool if I could make an interpretive GLaDOS costume by then, but with my current list, I doubt it's going to happen. ^ ^;; Oh well, there's always the Smash Brothers gathering to look forward to! ^.^
